Spring is here!

So Spring is here! We are loving being outside all the time, Kylie cries when we have to come in. Joel caught a huge fish and Kylie got her first fishing pole! Kylie and I have gotten to spend some time with Jenny, Jude and Peter too. We have also been doing lots of shopping for our trip to California in 4 months. We both have our dresses and now just have to do some alterations! Here are some pics from the past couple weeks.

Fun and Owies!

So this week my husband broke his elbow, Ouch! He fell on some ice while chasing a dog, and still didn't catch the dog. Anyway, he is in a sling and they say it will take 4-12 weeks to heal. Thankfully, he can still go to work! This week was busy, I had Kylie's 18 month check up and it went good! She's in the 40th percentile for weight and height and still 98th for head-she has a big head! She is also ahead in her language skills and fine motor so that's neat! We also went to the Children's Museum today with her favorite cousins Jude and Peter-she follows Jude everywhere and loves him! They had so much fun together!

Kylie's New Favorites

Kylie is all better now! She had a virus for a week with 105 temps and didn't want to eat anything! We were in the ER twice with her, but finally she is on top! We started her on Iron drops for Anemia and she is doing great! Joel has been working a lot and so have I! We have been pretty much staying home, Joel's been working on his boat and snowplowing, and I have been busy being a mommy. Kylie has a couple newfound favorites the past couple weeks: Raisins, her fur vest, her cow slippers, playing the piano and she's walking all over. She is so much fun!

Teething

Gotta love teething. Kylie is getting 4 teeth all at once, so she has been a little crabby, to say the least. She likes to knaw on carrots and her new found-love is grapes! She is over her ear infection though! Darn tubes don't do much....oh well! Joe has been working a couple days this week and I am actually working close to 40 hours this week! We celebrated my Grandma's 90th birthday this week! The Lord is good! I am going to enjoy my day off tomorrow and sleep in! Kylie has been so cute lately, she knows all the body parts and likes to find everyone's belly buttons! She is walking too!! It is so much fun to see her grow up..she's already 17 months but she'll always be my baby!

Kylie's First Haircut

The finished product!
Happy girl!

What a pretty girl!
Well, it was finally time to cut Kylie's hair! My friend Anne did it at her house, in her salon. Kylie was a little wiggly but she did good. She mainly just trimmed her bangs, I didn't want her curls to come off! She looks older now!

Bubbles

Peter, our new nephew
Bubble Fun in the Bathtub

We have been busy and sick this week! Yuck! Kylie has a virus that comes with a 103 fever, cough and sleepless nights that will hopefully go away soon! Joel worked 3 days this week, which is nice since he is laid off until March or April. Besides the sickness, we have been having fun as a family as usual. We also have a new nephew, Peter Marinus Calvin McGee. Joe's sister Jenny had him Monday morning and he is so cute! We can't wait to see him in a couple months when we go to SD!

Winding Down

Well, I think things are finally winding down. We had a fun new year's eve with friends. Tomorrow is our 2nd and last wedding and our second to last Christmas party (late, I know.) My brother and his fiance left today :-( I brought Kolbey to the airport after a wonderful mexican dinner! We had lots of fun playing games, going to Frederik Meijer Gardens, bowling and hanging out with them. The next time we will see them it will be at their wedding, which is in July. We are also driving-yes we are crazy! We are making a 1 1/2 week trip out of it and stopping to see Joe's sister in South Dakota for 2 days and doing other sightseeing besides the wedding! I'm very excited-and all 3 of us are in it, so that will be fun!
